ARGUMENT & PRESENTATION OF THE ENCOUNTER Athens · April 25–26, 2026

The Athens encounters of April 25–26, 2026 open an international working space dedicated to the dialogue between Lacanian psychoanalysis and the Greek thinkers. While modern science draws its foundations from ancient Greek thought, how can we question the essence of modern science toward an elaborating meditation of the Real in becoming?

Starting from Martin Heidegger’s 1953 lecture “Science and Reflection” and the clinical and topological work of Jacques Lacan and Christian Fierens, these study days explore the pure relation of contra-diction and the articulations between philosophy and the psychoanalytic act.
