ARGUMENT & PRESENTATION OF THE ENCOUNTER Lyon · October 10–12, 2025

The Lyon encounters of October 10, 11, and 12, 2025 brought together reading seminars and study days around engaging in the psychoanalytic act. Rather than freezing the cure onto a substantial finality (“where” an analysis leads), the works emphasized the verb “to lead” and the thinking-in-motion inherent to the unconscious.

Drawing on the “three or four types of question” formulated by Christian Fierens and the topological experimentation of the tetrahedron of the act, these sessions investigated alienation, not-all truth, and the object a in its vocal form of absolute nothingness.

Where Does an Analysis Lead?

Thinking Psychosis to Think the Thinking-in-Motion on Which the Psychoanalytic Act Depends

change_history Le Penser en mouvement / Cross-cap

Drawing on Christian Fierens’s “Negation and Repression”, this text shifts the emphasis from the “where” (the finality of the cure) to the verb “to lead”: the movement of enunciation and thinking-in-motion on which the psychoanalytic act depends.
